The collaboration revisits versions of Vans’ Style 36, Half Cab and Salman Agah’s pro shoe. The latter comes in a ‘rain drum’ colorway, with hairy suede on the upper, matching Pop Trading Company’s seasonal tones. The Half Cab features a leather upper, while the Style 36 also uses the aforementioned hairy suede and sturdy nylon on the sidewalls.
Speaking about the collaboration, founder Peter Kolks said “Growing up skating in the early to mid 90’s, we were always stoked on Vans’ simple executions. The Half Cab, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year was a no brainer for us. The Style 36 is similar to the Old Skool which was a staple for us since back in the day. Being able to resurrect the gone but not forgotten Salman Agah pro model once again was the icing on the cake.”
Along with the collection, both brands teamed up on a dedicated video part to celebrate the project featuring Pop and Vans Europe team riders. The skate part features Pascal Moelaert, Rob Maatman, Yeelen Moens, all skating one of the three collection models. And as a cameo, the up-and-coming rider Tomas De Keulenaer is introduced.
The Vans x Pop Trading Company footwear collection will be available exclusively from Pop Trading Company on Oct. 8th, followed by select skate retailers and Vans.eu on October 14th. For more information, please visit Vans.eu/skate.
